Our Vision

The Future of the Milwaukee Rental Housing Resource Center

We envision a Milwaukee where housing stability is accessible to all. As a hub within the MKE RHRC Housing Stability Initiative, the Center will expand its reach through a strong coalition of diverse, cross-sector partners working collaboratively to prevent eviction and promote long-term housing security.Together, we will increase access to mediation and legal representation, expand the availability of rent assistance, and provide consistent, trusted education and information about rental housing across Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Rental Housing Resource Center will serve as a trusted convener—connecting individuals, families, landlords, and community partners to the resources, knowledge, and services needed to navigate housing challenges and remain stably housed, regardless of age, family structure, or housing status.

News & Notes

At the Rental Housing Resource Center (RHRC), stability isn’t just a word—it’s the foundation we strive to build for every individual and family we serve. In 2025, that mission came to life in powerful ways.
From answering thousands of calls and emails to guiding renters through complex housing challenges, our team worked tirelessly to ensure that no one faced housing insecurity alone. Each interaction represented more than assistance—it was a step toward peace of mind, a safeguard against eviction, and a chance for families to thrive.
But our work didn’t stop at direct support. Through education, advocacy, and community partnerships, we helped renters understand their rights and options before a crisis hit. These efforts ripple outward, strengthening neighborhoods and improving health, education, and economic outcomes across Milwaukee.

Looking Ahead:
2026 is about building on this momentum. We’re expanding access to resources, enhancing emergency assistance programs, and investing in digital tools that make help more accessible than ever. Our commitment to education and advocacy remains strong, with more workshops and events designed to empower renters.
Together, we can make 2026 a year of even greater stability.
