Rent & Energy Assistance

Community Advocates helps resolve landlord-tenant issues, secure repairs, prevent evictions, and access rent assistance. They also support people facing homelessness, domestic violence, and provide energy aid.

The Energy Assistance Program offers eligible Milwaukee County residents a one-time annual payment toward heating and electric bills, based on household size, income, and energy costs. Payments are typically sent directly to the energy provider.

The Berrada Tenants Program, run by Community Advocates, supports Berrada Properties tenants facing eviction due to financial hardship. It offers payment plans, short-term rent help, and move-out agreements to prevent eviction and promote housing stability.
